The Purma Speed was introduced in 1936 and had an enamelled metal/chrome body. It was only made for about a year before the Special was introduced. It has similar features to later model with a gravity shutter, lens cap and retractable lens. The Speed was the first of the three Purma cameras and is of a higher quality construction than the much more common Bakelite Purma Special and metal-bodied Purma Plus.
This model is on good condition and the shutter fires. It has not been film tested.
