This camera is similar to the Olympus LT Zoom. A compact point and shoot with auto film wind and a 105 zoom lens. I bought this camera from eBay and together with a Minolta 110 SLRA single-lens reflex camera (SLR) is a camera that typically uses a mirror and prism system (hence "reflex" from the mirror's reflection) that permits the photographer to view through the lens and see exactly what will be captured. With twin lens reflex and rangefinder cameras, the viewed image could be significantly different from the final image. When the shutter button is pressed on most SLRs, the mirror flips out of the light path, allowing light to pass through to the film. Other camera typoes include DSLR, Rangefinder and Compact. More.

What is a Yashica EZ Zoom 105
The YashicaYashica was a Japanese manufacturer of cameras, originally active from 1949 until 2005 when its then-owner, Kyocera, ceased production. More EZ Zoom 105 is a fully automatic point and shoot with a 38-105mm zoom lens that will produce beautiful photos at the push of a button! It has a built-in flash with various modes and shooting modes such as infinity focus, portrait mode and red-eye reduction. Like most cameras on this period, it will automatically rewind and advance the film for you as well as focusing and exposing for you so all you need to do is point and shoot .
The camera is easy to hold with rubberised buttons on the top to make changes and fire the shutterEither mechanical and/or electronic shutters are possible. Mechanical systems can use a leaf (or iris) shutter or curtain shutter. In digital cameras a third alternative is also possible: the electronic shutter. This works by activating and then deactivating the CCD so that no further light can be recorded, regardless of whether light is hitting the CCD. The shutter controls the exposure time, which can range from thousandths of a second to several minutes or more. Fast shutter speeds freeze action, slow speeds are more suited to stationary subjects. A tripod is recommended for slow exposure shots to avoid camera shake. More. The zoom is operated by two side-by-side buttons. You can also set a timed exposureThe amount of light that reaches the film (or camera sensor). It determines how light or dark an image is. The exposure of an image is determined by the aperture, shutter speed, and film speed (ISO). During exposure, the sensors or chemicals on the film in analogue models, are subjected to the light outside the camera for a certain time. More.
The camera also has a tripodStand to which the camera can be attached hold it steady, especially during slow exposure shots where camera shake must be avoided. Most tripods have three legs while professionals prefer the more compact but less stable one-legged (mono) versions. More mount, dioptric for the viewfinder and auto film isoInternational Organization for Standardization represents the film’s (or sensors) sensitivity to the light. The higher the number, the more information will be captured. 400 ISO film is more sensitive to light than 200 ISO film by 1 stop. recognition.
All you need is 2 AA batteries and any type of 35mm film to get going
What’s in the Box?
I bought the camera from eBay and received just the camera no manual, etc. It was well packaged. I added a couple of batteries – AA. I always have some of these in the house so I guess I prefer these rather than a more specialised battery.
It was great to hear the whirl of the motor when I closed the battery door. Overall the camera is in great conditions with no scuffs, dents or marks.
Is it in Good Condition?
It is in great condition and although there is no box or manual it looks like it has been hardly used. It is light, looks robust and would be easy to carry. I guess that it would be a good camera to use on a Photo Walk. However, I am not sure that I will keep it as I already have a similar camera the Olympus LT Zoom 105. The question is should I run a film through it to see if I may change my mind?

More 35W RangefinderA rangefinder is a focus mechanism that allows the user to calculate the distance of a subject through the convergence of two images. Cameras that use this mechanism are usually referred to as ‘rangefinders’. Rangefinder cameras were very popular in the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Single Lens Reflex (SLRs) and compact cameras largely replaced them in the 70s, 80s and 90s. What is not always appreciated is that rangefinders offer several tangible benefits over SLRs, not least in image quality. Indeed, many photographers would rate the Leica M Digital Rangefinder as one of the best cameras available today. More. Instant Digital Download
