Camerex was formed in 1986 as a family partnership to offer a photographic repair service both to the trade and to private customers. By 1990 we were also retailing new and pre-owned photographic product with a particular emphasis on film, paper and processing chemicals.

The photographic world has changed out of all recognition over the last couple of decades and Camerex is still run by one of the brothers from the original partnership, Kevin Thompson. The emphasis now is to concentrate on the area of the photographic retail business we enjoy the most, second-hand equipment of all types but with a particular passion for the old classics.

Camerex no longer offers any form of commercial repair service but we still maintain the facility so our stock is always thoroughly checked and we are able to offer a meaningful guarantee.
