We are interested in any photographic equipment that you may have lying around in your attic or have put aside in favour of a digital version. We will even consider buying faulty items of any age. Our services include light seal replacement, lens cleaning and shutterEither mechanical and/or electronic shutters are possible. Mechanical systems can use a leaf (or iris) shutter or curtain shutter. In digital cameras a third alternative is also possible: the electronic shutter. This works by activating and then deactivating the CCD so that no further light can be recorded, regardless of whether light is hitting the CCD. The shutter controls the exposure time, which can range from thousandths of a second to several minutes or more. Fast shutter speeds freeze action, slow speeds are more suited to stationary subjects. A tripod is recommended for slow exposure shots to avoid camera shake, or IBIS. At Londinium Cameras, all our photographic equipment is checked and tested before listing and prior to dispatch. We have over 20 years experience buying, selling and repairing film cameras. If we sell an item with a known fault, it will be listed within the items description. New light trapping foams are replaced when appropriate on our cameras. We only use the best foam imported from Japan. Unless stated otherwise, all our used equipment comes with a 6 month warranty.
