Panasonic FX500

Overview

Table of Contents

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX500 was introduced in 2008. It was part of Panasonic’s FX series of compact cameras.

The FX500 didn’t directly replace a single specific model. Instead, it was positioned as a new high-end model in the FX series, complementing existing models rather than replacing them outright. It introduced new features like the touchscreen interface to the FX line.

The FX500 was one of the first compact cameras to feature both a touchscreen and manual controls, this set it apart from many of its contemporaries.
